Demo – Shadows of Fear Within

[ 0 ] December 29, 2013

A tune recorded early December 2013. It is a work in progress, but I’d like to share it anyway. It’s spun around sounds from the Cathotron sample-library, made by Hollow Sun. You should seriously check them out if you’re a musician searching for sounds! Except for the Hollow Sun sounds it also contains sound from the wonderful Absynth 5 and Steinbergs Padshop Pro.

Choir Invisible – Snapshot from a Reverb work session

[ 0 ] December 4, 2013

Currently exploring what can be achieved with creative Reverb and Delay-work. Snapshot from todays session at MusicDeepInside Studios. Snapshot shows two reverb channels and one pingpong delay. Some of the Small Room reverb is fed into the so called ‘Vintage’ room.

The Artworks – Choir Invisible and the cows

[ 0 ] December 3, 2013

Choir invisible aims to make pieces of art to go with the tunes. Sometimes they’re made to accompagny a song, something a song is sparked into life from an already made picture.
In this case its the latter, ‘Choir and the cows’ does not have any music attached to it yet. Maybe it will someday? Making the Artworks is half the fun for this project.

Selected Choir Invisible work is available at Soundcloud

[ 0 ] December 2, 2013

Choir Invisible at Soundcloud, Page of SwordsFrom autumn 2013 the music of Choir Invisibles have been available at the streaming-service Soundcloud. Only a selected earlier works will be made available from there. Abnormal Normality and Passing Trolls are, at the time of writing, the only older music made available. Choir Invisible is looking forward and does not want to dwell to much on earlier work. The streaming service at will mainly consist of newer material. In November 2013 Choir Invisible started the recording of new material and hopefully the results of these efforts will be available to the public in 2014.

Note, for the time being older recordings are still available at the streaming-services of Feel free to have a listen, while you still can.

Tunes from Back Then – Abnormal Normality (2008)

[ 1 ] December 1, 2013

Another tune from back then is available online. Abnormal Normality was recorded in 2008. It’s one of the longest Choir Invisible tracks made yet. Unfortunately these recordings have been lost. Abnormal Normality tries to mix sounds of horror and  darkness with a small melody of hope. Tune is restored and remastered from a mp3 demo rendering and is ofcourse suffering from this.

Tunes From Back Then – Passing Trolls (2004)

[ 1 ] November 1, 2013

Passing Trolls is a tune made in 2004. This one is not just layers of sounds and is therefore to be considered as a new direction for the band. Up until now Choir Invisible consisted of dark movements without any clear melodies (if any at all). Passing Trolls broke this trend with a melodic rythm. It also has some sort of melody on the top. The title itself does not point towards anything special, during the recording Choir Invisible thought it sounded like Trolls passing by; and the title was born.

Tunes from Back Then – Insons Insontis (2006)

[ 0 ] October 2, 2013

Insons Insontis recently showed up while browsing through old demos. The tune is not finished and probably never will. It was recorded on may 15th 2006 in Stavanger, Norway. A lot of material from these moments in time have either been dropped, lost or put aside. Music often reflects the state of mind of composer(s) at the time and in this particular case the band have decided to move on from lo-fi soundscapes and moods. The state of mind reflected in these early tunes aren’t something Choir Invisible wants to exlore deeper.
It is available for streaming through our website for curiousity reasons. Insons Insontis
